That was hard

After dinner, we tromped downstairs and inspected the 1st layer of dried polyurethane. Of COURSE, there were little spots here and there with no coat, and one spot of two whole tiles I'd missed entirely. Oh, well.

But the 2nd coat was difficult. As we did the first time, Danny poured the liquid and I spread it with the appliance, Danny shining light over it to see any missed areas. This time, it was full dark outside, and the tasteful mood lighting of the track lights didn't illuminate the floor much. Danny hooked up a couple of table lamps without shades and walked them around.

And happy to say, we're done.

Danny's collapsed on the couch to watch "Strong Medicine"...I'm going to veg out and watch TV in the upstairs guest room. Robert the TV bear won't have anyone to watch with downstairs tonight.

We'll have to wait a full week before we can put any throw rugs or furniture on the floor. Guess sometime during the week, we'll stain the floor trim and polyurethane that, then finish up with the window trim and hang the new levelor on the west window. That and some touch up spackle and paint, and the new dance hall/media room is ready for occupancy.

Oops. I just remember we haven't ordered the single French door for the downstairs...

Sigh.
