Moving Day

billeylerThe University is sort of a ghost town today, since a lot of departments have already closed for the extended winter break. WE'RE all still here of course.
I've moved about 75% of my stuff across the street to the Bookstore. Peripheral issues are now coming up, like will I be able to connect to the Popejoy Hall server for joint use files, and where some of the permanent records should be. Nothing major. Hopefully, the phone transfer and internet connection will happen on the 3rd.
Antoinette in the Bookstore made cupcakes for Karen's birthday next week (since UNM will be fully closed). I can see that I'm going to have to be careful about snacking! I'm a BIT concerned about sharing an office with two women...and being PC (prior history here).
Last night about 10:20 I had another a-fib episode while watching the news. It's such a bizarre feeling when your heart goes out of synch with a hard thud and starts racing, missing the dub in the lub dub. I immediately went to the bathroom and took 2 aspirin, a Cardizem and a Potassium tab. Danny was concerned of course, and monitored my pulse until it dropped from the 120bpm and went back to normal(ish) beat about 11:15. I'm so glad he's there. He was late for work this morning because he overslept. :( Of course, it was caused by overeating at dinner, having a LARGE amount of chocolate brownies during the day, and several beers after dinner!
11 paid holidays off work! Yahoo! One of those nights will be at the sleep center, tho...
