Danny just found one of the two checks that had gone missing on his desk... in a pile of unopened mail...postmarked Sept 1. The in-town one, not the out-of-town one.
Oh man, I can relate. (I once went through a big messy pile of "file these someday" papers on my desk and found, um, ok this is very embarrassing, a stock certificate worth a LOT of money. It had sat there for over a year.) G'luck with the organizing frenzy that is sure to follow...

I'd go ape. Indeed, I do occasionally when leatherlion slips my mail onto his desk. It's an effort to smile and let it wash off. After it's opened and examined, I'm okay(ish) with it sitting for filing.
