Juggling the weekend
Jan. 29th, 2006 09:58 pmSince I only got 3 hours sleep last night, I'm having a hard time focusing on the weekend and where the hell it went.
Hmmm...I guess here's the synopsis:
- Still have the bad cold/sinusitis, draining energy. Ugh. Thought I'd get a good night sleep last night, but only slept from about 2:45 to 5:45 am. I feel like I did the night I had the sleep center test.
- Spent a few hours on Saturday morning prepping the tax workup for the rentals I co-own with Jim Bailey. Made sure my own tax work was up to speed.
- The "rec room" is about 99% complete now. Danny and I put the pedal down to the metal and got all the trim, baseboards, paint touchup done, and Danny handled wiring that last outlet...finished about 30 minutes ago, including putting up the new levelor blind in the west window. Just a couple of loose ends left which we can do anytime: Enamel paint the woodwork on three doors, touch up the ceiling, and buy the French door to replace the ugly old lauan one from 1960. Oh, and shop for furniture!
- Ran to work last night to help settle a show, although I wasn't supposed to. They felt guilty calling me, since I was croaking rather than talking.
- Ran over to the annual Health Fair from noon to 2 today to call demo squares for the few people that were still wandering through the Expo Center. Kris worked all three days of it, so my time was light. I was still croaking some, but I could be understood.
- Got the tickets for San Jose Taiko refunded since we decided to finish working on the room this afternoon.
Just realized that my consumption today was: 1 cup of coffee, 1 bottle of water, 1 diet decaf Pepsi, one ice cream bar, and now one cup of Sleepytime.
Off to bed for this one!
