They all go on RSVP cruises!

Jeez...I put out an APB a few weeks ago on lgcwsd to see if there were any other folks going on the Alaska cruise. I did get a note back from Steve Johnson from Chi-town that he'd be there with bells on, so I didn't expect anyone else there that I/we knew.

Such a silly boy I am! Not only were there folks from Albuquerque there that are FORMER square dancers, but there were at least 16 others that I knew from days gone by, some of them still active dancers. There were more that I vaguely recognized, but couldn't place. But still among the 1850+ people on the ms Oosterdam, I found that significant.

Jim Copeland had a whole posse there from Portland, in VERY festive mode stolen from by-gone days of Bradley Belle drag at the opening tea dance. There were two guys from DC that moved to Rehoboth Beach a few years ago and don't dance much. Several in Palm Springs that are really WELL up in years now and don't dance much if at all.

More later on the 7 day Alaska RSVP. In a nutshell though, we had a wunnerful wunnerful time, but if I see one more son-or-daughter-of-a-famous (Judy Garland)-or-even-vaguely-known-actor (Eileen Heckart) do a tribute to their parent, I might just cut a vein.

Thank ya! We arrived in Seattle Saturday morning in a torrential rain. Yeek! It seemed to eventually taper down, but talk about soggy!

I just KNOW there was sunshine there when we were there on the 3rd, but we didn't see it between the airport and the ship where we almost immediately boarded. The bus just whisked us from one place to another.

Spent a few quiet hours at the airport on Saturday waiting for our 3pm flight back home. Didn't have a single phone number with me to call anyone to just say howdy.

How DID that dance go on Friday Sept 2????

Hugs

It went really well! I think we will have a really fun group of people for classes this time around.

And it really only rains in between bouts of overcast, not all the time like people say.
