The monsoon must be just about over here. It's almost as if someone quietly leaned over and flipped a light switch to 'off'. Not even a soft dimmer switch setting. Just 'off.'

I'm sitting here at my desk, and my arm ISN'T sticking to the surface from sweat like it has been for weeks...it's totally dry. There's a cool dry breeze coming through the windows. It was CHILLY from the swamp cooler when I got home this afternoon.

I don't feel the encroaching humidity from the walls that most coastal folks must feel. I've turned the drip system back on. The grass didn't seem spongy when I traipsed across it for my morning ritual of filling the bird feeder.

Still a small chance of rain...there are still huge t'storms around the state, not just here at the moment. But it seems like it's gone to 'off' again.

Back to the desert Southwest!
