Labor day dancing
Sep. 4th, 2007 09:12 amWe had a light turnout for the 3 hours of square dancing last night, but it was a lively group, for sure. I got to pull out some of my tricks of the trade:
- Hexagon dancing (12 dancers, 6 sides)
- Rectangle Dancing (12 dancers, 4 sides)
- C2 call "Ripple the Wave" for Basic dancing
- Revolving squares . Very tough...after each sequence, all 8 dancers rotate one position to the left, changing genders and partners...I had a hard time calling anything but short memorized modules and the dancers constantly forgot which gender they were dancing!
That was my last Monday night of calling until at least January. Tuesdays, here we come (starting 9/11)!
