The holidays are officially over
Jan. 5th, 2008 01:38 pmThis morning, Danny and I de-holidayed the house. The upstairs feels much bigger and much less cluttered appearing. Whew!
As we first got up this morning, I looked out the dining room doors and saw maybe a dozen robins and 3 or 4 woodpeckers scavenging the Russian Olive and the Cottonwood for berries and bugs. Must be part of their migratory path!
Took a 25 minute walk around the neighborhood just now. The Chama River pipeline project is going full swing down toward Carlisle, even on a Saturday. Saw a nice house that's been for sale for a while just a couple blocks from
krisjensen and checked it out online when I got home...OMG! $800,000, 4300 sq ft, 6 bed 6 bath. No thanks!
We were going to maybe do a day trip today, but it's gotten late enough we'll wait till another time. I'm sure there are projects around for me to work on!
It's getting progressively cloudier, greyer and breezier as the hours go by, but it's pleasantly mild. Guess those San Francisco guys are through with the storm and are sending us the front line of the leftovers now. We're just 1100 miles from the Bay area.
