OMG, Glad I'm not there now
Aug. 4th, 2008 08:50 amA year ago this time, I was at my mother's house near Shreveport, working on cleaning it up, painting, and lots of other chores. A lot of those chores were outside; every time I did any movement at all outside, I'd break into a sweat.
I just saw that in July that area didn't have a single day where it didn't reach at least 90 degrees. So far this month, the highs have been 101, 105 and 103. Add that to the oppressive humidity and you have people dying if out in it too long.
I'm so glad I didn't schedule a trip there this year. Have to call my mom to make sure her A/C stayed with it.
