This morning was errands morning before my trip to Denver.  Flight ostensibly leaves at 1:30.  I woke up this morning remembering that I hadn't printed my boarding pass yet.  Could have done it after 1:30 YESTERDAY, but between being busy at work and tired at home, spaced it.  My Southwest boarding is B25.   Oh, well.  Having a later boarding number is still pretty stress free.

I took Kris and Turtle-Bear to the airport at 10:30 this morning for their own flight to San Francisco for the GAY&C weekend.  They seemed to pack a lot for the trip, but I imagine a lot of that is computer gear.

Danny's off to a doc's appointment right now, interviewing another doctor (only 2 miles away) to have as a primary care physician.  The one he chose at great pains just after our own doc retired last November is a bit too holistic in his approach.  Actually, he never GOT to see that doctor...the staff wouldn't let him.  He had to be checked out by their doctor's assistant.  (sound of loud loser's buzzer).  It seems PCPs are few and far between these days in the general medical industry.  I didn't have any problem myself, but I went through the University system.

Found a new fire ant mound in front of the house a few days ago.   This morning, a quick trip to WM to get fire ant eradicator.  Hope it works.  Just seeing those mounds is scary!

The pool is drained and set aside to dry out for the season.  I'm not sure we'll try to set it up next year, and I don't know where we're going to store it this winter.  I found that the sand that we got to level out the flagstone sharp bits before we laid the pool out was actually concrete sand.  It's completely hardened with all my sandal prints from early June when we spread it around!  Guess the chisel and hammer come out sometime in the Fall!

In Denver, I'm being hosted by a woman that I can't remember meeting in the past.  Kris says she's a great host, so I'll trust her on that!  She's a teacher named Sharon; she'll be picking me up at the airport about 30 minutes after I land.  I hope she recognized me--I have no clues.   A few hours rest, a little dinner, and off we go to tonight's Plus and Advanced dance!
