Marriage in California
Nov. 5th, 2008 10:53 amAlthough we're distant from the situation and California's Proposition 8 (although I did give money toward "NO" on it), I'm sad for all my friends in CA that legally tied the knot since June. There must be dozens of people I know that made the effort prior to the elections. Hope there are no annulments involved.
For those people that this effects in the future, I send my regrets from afar.
At the very least, please be sure your basic rights are covered 'for real' with wills and all the other paraphernalia that people need that aren't married, but want to have their legal rights protected for critical decision-making and inheritances, be they same-sex or opposite-sexed couples (or other permutations).
