Saturday was supposed to start out with jumping into some painting. Neither of us had slept well, though, so we dragged around in the morning some, finally getting started moving out most everything from the front rooms, then vacuuming and mopping to get rid of about 90% of the drywall dust and dirt. I had spent some time earlier chipping out the excess dried drywall mud out of all the electrical outlet holes.

Eventually, we headed over to Lowe's and Home Depot to get more matching paint and primer to be safe, plus some (but of course far from all) of the outlets, switches and cover plates for the electrician to finish up.

Finally, we hit the priming and painting with a vengeance about 2:30, finishing up about 10pm.

Here we are about 7:30pm, still going strong.

After this, we painted the brick red color from the dining room all through the kitchen, only leaving a few spots where we know there is cabinetry going in. I'm hoping with the light of day, we don't have too much touchup.

Sunday, for painting, we're planning on priming the bathrooms and the walls in the bedrooms that were redone. Haven't decided on colors for any of that yet. The bedrooms aren't critical, since we're having those carpeted. We've also got to try to repair some more of the floor squeaks with monsters screws and make sure all the nails and staples are gone from the floor.

I'm a little concerned that the flooring guys aren't going to show on Monday as planned, since we didn't hear back with a confirmation. Danny's going to work from home Monday morning.
