I got a call to audition as a square dance caller for the movie, but we'll be on that cruise when that's shooting the square dance scenes! There's a casting call tomorrow for background extras and square dancers, but we'll give it a miss. It's floating around all over town...I've gotten three calls from co-workers who saw flyers about the casting call and asked if I knew about it!
I did just post it to the Wilde Bunch email list. I'm sure the trannies will head down there for the call.
Don't know how square dancers figure into all this, but we'll see, IF the movie is ever distributed. Most of the movies filmed in New Mexico that I've heard of are duds as far as I can tell. There was one called "Suspect Zero" filmed several years ago with a LOT of hoopla, but it was panned. Too bad, cause I think Aaron Eckhart is a hottie. I melt over soulful eyes, be they blue, green, brown or black. The "Suspect Zero" company rented equipment from our theatre, which is how I even knew about it.
Billy Bob Thornton is no Aaron Eckhart in the looks department, but has about 20 times more depth from what I've seen. Okay, I like shallow!
