Thursday was a make-work kind of day, since I've finished nearly all of my Popejoy Hall projects, and just started to squeak into this arcane journal ledger activity tracing back through five years of accidental entries for some of the other auxiliaries...that's going to be major detective work, and will have to be done by March, I'm sure.

I did have a good conversation with Karen (my quasi-new-boss) about how to clean up the accounting messes on-site with some of the other auxiliaries, like the Lodestar Astronomy Center (where I used to do oversight accounting at one time) and the UNM Golf Courses. This is the kind of stuff I like!

Thursday c/w was a little lower than normal turnout, but quite fun overall again. The poll of the dancers showed that the majority did want to expand the program for another hour. I'm glad i started the email list right from the beginning...EVERYONE is accessible by email.

We had a few more randomly show up toward the end of the evening, and we encouraged them to come at 7, when we're geared for beginners and easy level dancing. By 8:15, we're in the thick of "Dizzy" which is NOT an easy line dance to teach, especially since I just learned it last week myself. On Wednesday night, Danny and I worked through the "Texas Waltz" (couples dance) from a 14 year old VHS video I had, and introed that last night to great success.

Danny is such a godsend to help with the sound and being my "Ginger" for most of the dance moves. I could NOT do this program by myself. Teaching C/W is so different from calling square dances, but with a microphone (headset in this case), I go from being mild-mannered middle-aged accountant to super-teacher!

Still no word from the sleep center...I decided to wait until Tuesday after our Phoenix trip to call them. Speaking of that, I'd better finishing packing for our driving trip! We have to move all the wood trim again from the back patio (or at least cover it securely) and move the remaining bits of furniture to a safe location, give Danny his haircut, then we're OUTTA HERE! Vroom!
