* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO PERSIST OVER PORTIONS OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL NEW MEXICO. EXPECT THE COVERAGE AND INTENSITY OF STORMS TO INCREASE DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS AS UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES INTERACT WITH DEEP LAYER MOISTURE.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO PRODUCE ONE TO THREE INCHES OF RAINFALL PER HOUR. LOCATIONS WITH SATURATED SOILS FROM RECENT HEAVY RAINS WILL BE ESPECIALLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLASH FLOODING. LOCALIZED RAINFALL AMOUNTS COULD REACH UPWARDS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT.

Woohoo! Ride it out! Keep it out of your house and off the parquet floor!

We've been having T-storms in SLC, too, but not a ton of rain at any one time, although periodic heavy rain is forecast...

In other news, I will get to dance to you someday! Maybe convention next May...

Just talked to a friend in SLC...he loves it there (he was born there). I haven't ever visited SLC, but it's on the list!

It's beautiful, albeit too hot in the summer for me ('but it's a dry heat').
