Getting some rest and the light of day makes things look brighter.

Yes, Danny did break at least one upper chest rib and it's expected he'll have a 6 week healing process.  For now, he has lots of vicodin!

Yay for vicodin! I'm glad it was only a broken rib.

And remember that rule about not mixing drugs with alcohol? That's a guideline for little schoolgirls. :-)

Sleep is worth a lot. I'm glad he's expected to heal up right. Any further news so far on why he might have blacked out in the first place? That's a little scary.

Ouch, I hope Danny recovers soon. I had a bruised rib once, and it hurt enough.

Oops. I was logged out. I hope Danny heals faster than the 6 week prediction.

And vicodin is a very good thing.

Danny spoke to both his brother and sister-in-law in England today...both of them (independently) recommended VodkaVicotinis!

Both the docs thought it was a 'one-off' scenario from the circumstances. Sudden drop in blood pressure caused by atypical dehydration. Neither seemed that concerned.

You had MUCH worse than that from that ill-fated trip to Spain!

Oh, thank God(s). Give him a kiss from me, and take one for yourself.

I lost three pounds despite efforts to stay hydrated and eat enough. The pace, the altitude, the talking... I guess that's enough of an explanation. Unlike Paul. I wouldn't make things worse by adding alcohol to Vicodin. I think he's just kidding...

Give Danny my best... pain relievers are our friends, no sense in suffering. Getting up in the middle of the night is a problem for us older guys. I am glad you were there to help right away.

It's almost like karma. He had to nurse me after I fainted from an a-fib loss of blood pressure episode a year ago...but no trip to the ER for that one!

Just be happy you're younger than either of us! ;-)

Best answer possible given the circumstances. Congratulations!

Glad to hear he's on the mend - even if it will be a while before he's 100% again.

It was great to see you both in Denver.
