billeylerWilde Bunch apparently still has 15 new dancers in this class. We were dancing 5 squares for all the beginner's tips. Last night to join this session was last night.
Used my new Dell for calling last night...worked just fine! Danny had been working with it while I was out of town and the battery sensor showed 5 1/2 hours left when I turned it on. When I turned it off, it still had 2 hours of battery life! Had the power cord there JUST in case.
Had a couple of issues with CSDC from the porting over from my old machine to the new one. All my categories are gone (line, specialty, singers with cues sheets, etc) from the function tabs, and it's not automatically putting any music as a patter file with 15 second beginning and end indents. I tried doing some of this on the fly, but couldn't figure out easily how to make those work again. Also, all the music sounded overdriven and distorted...that might be a bigger issue with the ASDC amp; I'll have to explore that and the other issues this week.
The new microphone puts more in my voice than I had before with the aged Electrovoice...very nice!
Danny has our COMPLETE c/w music library on my laptop now. Amazing!
Saturday, one of our dancers is hosting a pool party at his house. Looking forward to it!
