billeyler: (holiday)

Did a wee bit more shopping this morning just to take the edge off. Actually, the trip started with me running up to the square dance center to try to find my Dell power supply...but it wasn't there. Hmmm.

A trip to Office Depot to pick up more yellow toner that Danny had ordered and out of curiosity drove a bit further north on Alexander Blvd to see the unusual building under construction. Turns out it's the treatment plant for the Chama River Water Project! I had NO idea it was so extensive. A few of the streets in my neighborhood are torn up, since the Burton Park Well is the terminus of the project. It's like a PacMan game to get from east of my house into this area.

Then a block or so from Office Depot, a stop at Homo Depot to pick up another humidifier, this one for the dining room to help humidify our main living area. Also grabbed some laminate glue, since 95% of the laminate on the bathroom cabinets has come off over the past 15 years, and it's all held together with some pretty unsightly clear mailing tape. Yet another project...don't know when we'll actually remodel the bathroom, so just in case, I'll fix those cabinets. I couldn't actually READ that it was laminate glue, since I had left my reading glasses in the card, but the helpful clerklet assured me it was.

Then some more shopping here and there...the crowds weren't very dense, but then again these shops are not in the mega-malls. Traffic is relatively light for a Monday, a workday for most mere mortals.

After one of Danny's sammie lunches and a few minutes of Rachel Ray, we set the luminarias out and will just wait till 5pm to light them, dusk and dinnertime. I've got dinner figured out, since Danny has to dash off at 5:30 or so for his shift tonight.

Planted the rest of my spring bulb corms, since it's really decent outside right now. 40ish and calm. If the wind isn't blowing, it actually feels quite warm!

Shifted around my clumped fertilizer into old coffee containers, and moved the excess luminaria sand into a bucket, rather than the crumbling cardboard box it was in, and my day so far is...constructive!
