Disappointment
Jun. 11th, 2006 11:01 amOne of Danny's main complaints about our old fridge was that it was noisy in the random times the compressor came on. It never really bothered me.
Well the brand new ($1000, but on sale for $900) Frigidaire's compressor hardly EVERY goes off, in spite of tinkering with the thermostat to get the optimal temps in both the freezer and fridge. And it's louder than the other fridge ever was. And has at least three different fans that do different things.
The delivery guy said Friday morning that the 'burn-in' period was between 8-12 hours. It's been 2 days now.
Danny is livid. This morning he called the Best Buy Hotline and arranged for their maintenance tech to come over this next week. And they have a 30-day no questions asked return policy (we'll see).
Ah, well.
