Heat wave

We haven't had much of a winter here. A protracted period of temps 10 to 15 degrees higher than normal. Virtually no precipition for three months. Recently, nary a cloud to be seen.

Although I'm all for shirt sleeve weather in February, it just makes me nervous for what the real Spring will be like.

Sounds similar to here. Monday we went skiing (despite the warm weather) and yesterday I was golfing -- wearing a short sleeve shirt! I think our high was 62F. Today we're off on a hike. This is too much like spring. We don't have enough snow in the mountains.

If you're missing winter - come join us! -18 C today with wind chill of -25. Those translate to zero F and 13 below (also F). We've also got LOTS of snow on the ground - you can't see over the snowbanks when backing out of your driveway.

Very kind! Thanks but no thanks! ;-)

Our winter so far is a little less precipitation than I'd like. Today was around 50, and we've got that nasty inversion thing going again. I'm hoping we'll have a storm this weekend and clear some of this crap out.

Hopefully, if I ever have a chance to visit SLC, it'll be when the thermal inversions are holding the smog in!
