I wish I had the photography skills of dukecityjim--if I could capture the real beauty of a New Mexico sunrise, I'd be a millionaire.

I awoke to a wonderful glow from the bedroom window; the eastern sky was filled with pinks and yellows from the pre-dawn high clouds over the Manzano Mountains. Added to the yellows of the locust and the cottonwood in the back yard and it was a surreal, peaceful moment.

Quite nice. Yes, I know what you mean about those mornings when lighting on the clouds is spectacular, especially this time of year when you get the additional benefit of light filtering through autumn's vibrant golds.
