Singing in public with a slant

Our chorus auditioned last year to sing the National Anthem at the Isotopes games...and got the nod to do it. Last season, NMGMC sang it once (I was out of town), and tonight, we're singing it again...gulp. First time for me in a stadium.

Such an odd thing to do! But our director is a baseball nut, so he's all over it.

Oooo....boy was I unclear! :-)

I'm not worried about singing. It's the crowd reaction to the blaring loudspeaker saying "...and now the New Mexico GAY MEN'S chorus! Still some of that old bashing fear!

Actually, I heard that last year there were big cheers and all.

I'm sure there will be cheers again. The folks in the stands paid for a good time so they're already inclined to be generally enthusiastic & supportive. Be sure to let us know how it went!
