Sunday fun night

Laughter abounded last night with me, Danny, omero_hassan, and Lawrence Klebesadel dining, wining, and playing "Catch Phrase".

I'm sure a lot of people's ears were burning last night, too, as we sat on the deck sipping wine as the night came on.

Unfortunately, Steven had his shirt on the whole night.

Oh, and Lawrence and I were teammates for "Catch Phrase"--we lost EVERY game!

I watched the last 20 minutes of it live, then saw some of the videos posted afterward, including the opening number (wow!).

Actually, I've rarely EVER watched the Tony Awards! :-)

At one point, the conversation may have turned to the subject of your many homes in Palm Springs. Mostly filled with admiration for how you and dr_scott manage to make do with so little domestic help. I admire it, but honestly, I don't see how you do it. It was suggested by the cattier among us -- not me, obviously -- that perhaps the budget didn't extend to housemaids because so much money was being spent on groundsmen and gamekeepers who seem uniformly unqualified for their jobs, though they are certainly young and fit.

Money well spent, sweetie. Though there haven't been too many of those, lately. It's one of the problems with age and infirmity. You should ask the cattier among you—not you, obviously—if they remember.

It's true that Drama has not come to visit in a while. I keep expecting a phone call. “I have a new hobby. His name is Stan but he can't spell it.”

I had expected by now to make that call myself.
