Six degrees of a hurricane

This is the first time I can remember a hurricane ANYWHERE affecting me at work.
We got a call today from Alan Wasser Agency. They have to cancel their October booking for Dora the Explorer kids show at the venue in New Orleans they've been booked at for quite some time. The place is apparently totally trashed. They had contacted us a number of months ago about booking here, but they didn't like our rate structure (they really want the venue for next to nothing, although they are close behind Disney in the profit making or die business), but I'm thinking that since those dates very coincidentally are available at Popejoy Hall, they're willing to pay a reasonable market rent.
The evening weathercaster here made a note of something I've always been thankful for. Albuquerque is virtually free from significant disrupting weather, earthquakes, or anything that would shake our tranquil little world. That MIGHT explain why this is very much the land of manana.... The only disruptive weather seems to happen during Balloon Fiesta!
Hmmm....
