From Sidewinder's Manager, promoting the 2006 Bear Run:

Calling on all BEARS OF MANANA members to help push and advertise the American
Bear Awakening Bear Run.

The ABA website offers package detail information, host hotel booking
information, online registration by check or PayPal.

BOM Bears I want your group to receive all the credit for this event.
I want to reiterate that this is not an exlusive Sidewinders event we
are just wanting to help lay the ground work for an annual bear event.

Pass on www.americanbearawakening.com to all your friends. We have 50
rooms set aside at the Sheraton Uptown for $69.00 a night. They have
offered us up to 150 rooms. I know we can sell this event out.

ABA is right inbetween IBR and TBRU. Our host hotel is awesome and
priced right. ABQ has a lot to offer and has the friendliest bears on
the planet. Lets show everyone that great New Mexico hospitality and
put Albuquerque on the bear map.

Thanks for everyones support.

After another crack' o dawn wake up, Danny and I shifted efforts during the day. He finished up the furring strips in the dance hall and I power-blew the pine needles in front of the house, spent a couple of hours pruning one of the seven mournfully overgrown arborvitea, and power-blew a good bit of the fallen leaves into the corners to deal with later.

The chorus sectional we have from 4-6 every Sunday was vastly truncated, since only 3 of us showed...and the baritone left. Since this was in between the last of the Millie shows, I was able to have a nice dinner with Danny at our haunt, Mannies Diner.

Dragged myself home from work about 10, then we stayed up to watch the ever-interesting "Grey's Anatomy."

Ah, weekends.

Not a good night sleep...had a reflux issue at 1am, so went into the upstairs guest bedroom and crashed there, so as not to disturb Danny who needed his sleep. Unknowningly, he woke me at 6:15 and I desperately wanted more sleep, but oh well.

Was a whirling dervish at work this morning, and am WAY ahead of the game now. That's a good feeling when about to leave for vacation. This time, I left some contact numbers 'just in case'. When we went on the cruise in September, I purposely didn't leave any contact info at work, so they were stuck when they really DID need to contact me.

Square dance was just so so tonight...we've segued into mostly Mainstream Class and Light Plus over the past couple of months.

Had laid all my clothes out before the dance, so when I got home tonight, just had to put all the clothes in a suitcase, and voila. Packed! Danny stayed home and packed, including some family-style board games we can play when conversation lags. It probably will, since neither of us are conversant in hunting, fishing or football.

Soon to bed.
