Blue Skies...
Jan. 5th, 2006 12:19 pmIt's such a treat to have an office now that I can slightly move my head and see vast expanses of ultra-blue New Mexico skies. I wonder when this warmth and drought is going to break...it's sure not in the 10 day forecast. Believe me, 55 is WARM for this time of year.
And joy of all joys, my office phone was finally reconnected here today. Woo.
Danny and I are working piece meal on the downstairs the past couple of nights. Finally, after more trips yesterday during my 'lunch break," I picked up the right final piece of track lighting, the new 96 inch levelor blind, and the new battery for the drill. We got PART of the window trim up last night, but realized that for the outer part of it we got the wrong size. So off to HD for ANOTHER trip in a bit.
The furniture is scheduled to be picked up by Goodwill on the 12th, so we're going to try to make it look decent and put it outside under a tarp until next week. The schnauzers did NOT do my sectional any favors...they dug out some pretty serious areas on the arms and on one cushion in particular. The old pleather sofa Jim #1 left behind is going, too.
STILL slow at work, although I have little projects going here and there. What a change from last year this time.
