Going to work is totally anti-climactic. There's no plan of action for my 'new job,' whatever that's supposed to be. I think I have to make it up. Today, I was actually...can I say it without lightning striking me...BORED.

I feel like I've been running errands all day, and mostly spinning my wheels in reverse. The most successful thing I did was drop all the recycling by the center, instead of leaving it out on the curb. My regular haircut place has gone out of business, as I discovered on my lunch errands run...and I'd have to drive five miles into the Heights to go to another link in their chain. No thanks. So I'm going to revolt by growing my hair out into a rastafarian mode. Can't be any worse than what Andy's going to do to his body.

TWO (count em, TWO) trips to Home Depot after work, and although I got all the things we needed to finish the track lighting (I thought), I had to make a SECOND trip to HD to pick up one single 4' length that we had forgotten, only to find when I got that home that it is the wrong color. Home Depot 1 is 6 miles east of us. Home Depot 2 is 9 miles north of us. I'm glad I filled the tank yesterday. And tomorrow I have to make a 3rd trip to return the slightly off color last bit of track channel, and pick up the 12 volt drill battery. And me not wanting to take off-site lunch/errand breaks anymore.

Danny's not feeling good tonight, and crashed about 9. I'm up and wide wake at 10, more awake than I've been in a long time. Wondering if the cardio doc visit tomorrow is going to do a thing for me. I stopped the Cardizem two days ago, since it was making me feel...scattered. Wondering how I've bypassed the cold/flu/virus thing that's attacked easily 50% of the people I know.

One fun point. On trip 2 to HD tonight, I passed an orange-vest employee that looks familiar. He looks at me and says, "Weren't you at the movie on Saturday?" I recognized him, since he was sitting two seats from me, and we talked in the lobby pre-show. We (Mark and I) spent a fulfilling 45 seconds talking about Brokeback Mountain as I head to the cashier with the wrong-colored bit of track channel.
