We should have gone to a motel for the night. The fumes kept us awake most of the time, distributed upward through the central vent system. Today I have a sore throat.

I won't say 'live and learn'...we WON'T be refinishing hardwood floors in OUR lifetime again!

Most of the day, I've been feeling the tickle of a sore throat and a certain thickness in my sinuses, which I'm thinking must be caused by the deadly toxic chemicals in the polyurethane. Tonight, calling for 3 hours, it was getting really noticable, and by the time I left the dance center, I was definitely feeling the paranoia of strep throat coming on and fatigue.

Danny pooh-poohed it as "just a sore throat." I hope so.

Time will tell. The glass of wine and aspirin is helping a bit. ;-) The house only reeks with about 25% of the fumes that it did yesterday, so it must be safe to sleep now.

Tonight I introduced the new Mainstreamers to the joys of Hexagon dancing, which they did really well with. Except for the trannies of course. Got some good compliments on the variety tonight. C1 was well attended with 21 people, but I made the mistake of NOT looking at the definition of "Shakedown" to teach it until it was literally the exact moment to teach it. GASP! The definition is very different from what I learned in 1987! And here it was always a simple call for me. Ah, well! Glad Kris was there to correct me! I don't like the new definition at all.
