Enjoying a very noisy and rare morning thunderstorm right now with sporadic bursts of rain. This happens about as frequently as fog in Albuquerque: about once every two years. Very invigorating! The registers are out at the bookstore here and the phones went on the fritz after the last (very close) lightning bolt hit somewhere near here. Ah, well!

Last night was the 2nd official night of lessons for "Class 62" of the Wilde Bunch...this one finishes October 2, just in time for our flyin. In 3 hours and 22 minutes I packed in: 4 class level full C1 tips, 5 class level beginner tips, 2 Mainstream continuation teach-tips, 2 Plus tips, 1 line dance lesson, a waltz (my break), 10 minutes of disjointed announcements done by our 'prez', and a full Advanced tip to cap off the evening.

Wasn't feeling very well from about 3pm on, but persevered through it all...feeling ultra-tired even before starting the lessons/dance. When I got to the center at 5:30, Joey had to rearrange the sound wall from the weekend event and move all the sound systems back into place, then we both checked out the cooling on the west side of the building...one pump was out and one line was clogged, so only 3 of the 5 coolers were working. I don't know if the humidity was starting to build up, but I felt like I was in swamp while calling last night, which didn't help my feeling of not being quite there.

Opened up the ASDC mail while I was there, and saw a note from the round dance club that they are folding and giving up the hall on Tuesday nights. They folded their regular club night on Wednesdays on few months back, so there is officially no round dance group in Albuquerque anymore after 40+ years. I think maybe Shirley (on the ASDC board) may pick it up and try to get something going again, but I'm sure Wayne and Rita were just tired of it all, having even worse recruitment issues than square dancing does.

During the 2nd Plus tip, I completely forgot to do figures 3 and 4 and didn't remember until the music kept on, so I did two more break figures on the fly. Kris and Danny both gave me funny looks...they didn't realize that my synapses were pretty much fried by then.

Back at home, I settled in to finally finishing up the Harry Potter Book 5, and almost made it...20 pages left before I finally couldn't keep my eyes open and crawled into bed with the snuggly hubby.
