A day off was just what I needed. I got a little caught up on the square dance center books, but generally just did a little gardening, a lot of napping, and got a few pages into HPVI. Feeling fine today.

We had a very tasty meal at May Cafe last night, a popular Vietnamese restaurant where Vietnamese actually eat. This is opposed to the Main Chinese Buffet we frequent where I have yet to see anyone Chinese eating. I love Vietnamese Bun, so tried the Stir Fried Beef with Curry...oh yah! Danny had a tomatoey-pasta-y looking dish with tofu and chicken which made his head sweat.

C2 last night was...ugly. I may stop going at all, since it's impossible to get the blind dancer moving in the right direction. Even his wife was visibly frustrated. The whole 2 hours, he was pointed an 1/8th off in the wrong direction. So many of us were side-concentrating in getting him moving in the right direction that we were having a hard time moving in the right place ourselves. Kris was using an .mp3 from Sandy Bryant at first, but it was obviously a bad group she was calling for and she lost her pilot square nearly every sequence...we switched to some nice material by Barry Clasper, which included some disconnects that I don't see the point of...maybe at C3 or above they're used more. I'll have to study up on that.

Worked through the line dance "Coastin'" last night so I can teach it tonight. It's getting much more common now for me to learn a dance immediately before I teach it; which may be a bit dangerous. Also going to do the "Ranchera" one-step that is always done at the Ranch, but I've never taught it, thinking it was too easy! A review of "My Maria" line dance, which is very popular, then 45 minutes of Dancer's Choice, which has ALSO gotten very popular...the dancers keep requesting the more complex line dances. And finish off with the usual Barn Dance...

We got our hotel confirmation for Montreal this week. No word yet on transport from the airport to the hotel...I'm sure it'll come.

Just met with the boss, going over finals for graphs and reports for the annual board meeting...all is well in the world, since we made about $114,000 more this past fiscal year than I had budgeted!
