Minor aggravations, minor joys
Aug. 10th, 2006 12:51 pm- My two-year-old passport did not withstand a washing after my return from Montreal.
- Haven't sent my mom her birthday card yet for her 84th. It's the 12th. I was going to send a package, but that will have to wait.
- More of the floor is buckling downstairs, even though Danny pried up a lot of the tented ones already. I had a dream about the floor this morning. Ugh. That's another project for this weekend, taking all that parquet up.
- Danny installed GroupWise on my work laptop last night, since the university is mandated to use this product now, and slowly, the 7,000+ employees and faculty are converting over. We found 17 emails that hadn't gotten to me since 7/20, some of them important. Grrr. I prefer Outlook...at least I'll still be able to use that for email and GroupWise just for the calendar.
I booked my flight to Boston a couple of days ago for Sept 8-11, but it's still iffy if Danny's going. He has a conference to go to in Denver on Sunday of that weekend, and he's already bought the Boston to Denver leg of the flight apparently. The one way portion is apparently now very expensive.
On the good side, I got kudos from our financial team leader for the spiffy new financial reporting templates I put together for those departments under my watch. Woo woo.
And Danny seems to be on the mend from that cold or virus. They hit him much differently than they effect me.
