Bill's "At Home" night

Oh, tonight I could be doing so many things.   I could go dance C1-of-death, then dance with all the new dancers with the Wilde Bunch.  I could change my mind and go to the first night of chorus rehearsal, even though I vowed not to do chorus anymore.

Danny's at his AGORA volunteer night, so it's a rare night when I'm doing the "Home Alone" bit.

What to do...what to do... 

Semi-productive weekend

 We've been traveling so infrequently lately, that we're both having to reinvent what we do on the weekends, especially cold weekends when we could be traveling!.  But in spite of it all, I was reasonably productive.

-  Both Saturday and Sunday, I cut up old lumber and tree branches to use for firewood.
-  Attended Lois Dickerman's memorial service last night...it was over 2 hours long with some amazing stories from friends and family.  But I think I was the only active square dancer there of the 350 or so people that were there at the Church of Religious Science.
-  All but completed my 2007 taxes on Turbo Tax.  I just have to wait for all the forms now to confirm what I input!  I've never done this all by January 13 before!
-  Watched HP5 on On-Demand with Danny, struggling to stay awake (probably the least interesting and longest of the books).  Visually interesting, but the actors were all walking through their parts, and Gary Oldham was totally wasted in the part of Harry's 'mentor.'  Okay, I'll start HP7 now.
-  Went dancing at Sidewinder's on a Saturday night, which we seem to only do 3-4 times a year lately.  We're having to train DJ JoJo who HATES c/w music, but since every other gay bar in NM where he's worked has closed, he was pulled in by his friend, the bar owner.  I've known JoJo more than 20 years...in fact, he ran the one-line gay BBS I first logged onto in November 1987 that started me on the path to online ruin.   Most of the hard-core dancers left early.
-  Fixed the garage motion detector light.
-  The VERY delayed birthday gift I ordered for Danny on December 14 finally arrived on Friday (6-8 days shipping became 28 days...I was pissed).  It was an 8gig memory card for his camera...but his camera is old enough that it didn't recognize the memory...but mine did.  Sigh.  Now for more shopping for that 'perfect' birthday gift! *

I'm sure I did other things, but they've all escaped my memory right now.

Yah, right. 

* After this past weekend, I think the gift would be for retail clerks not to ask him any more if he wants the senior discount.
