Happy to report that there's a warming trend. It's 18 degrees at 7am and may even crack 32 today! Woowoo!

Still, I'm taking a space heater into work today to cut the draft under my work area. Wearing a jacket and having the afghan on my lap yesterday helped, but certainly decreased mobility.

The meeting yesterday morning morphed into a crisis management situation. The show DRUM will be here Sunday for 2 performances; the company manager is refusing to perform since the university deducted 30% from their artist fee for US Federal tax. DRUM is a Canadian company. By 4pm yesterday, it still hadn't been resolved and we're all in an uproar. We'll see what today brings.

This morning has another hike across campus in store for the monthly Golf Course finance meeting. It'll be ugly...the GC is doing very, very poorly, in spite of it being mid-winter. So what if there are 9 other golf courses in the area now, mostly at the Indian casinos. I mean how many golfers CAN there be?

Last night's c/w lessons were poorly attended, but we're writing that off to Phoenix coming up this weekend. It's the gay rodeo, gay square dance flyin, gay car club show all there at the same time. There were probably no more than 25 dancers at any point in time. It was waltz night, and we worked em hard on everything ONE-2-3!

I did hear that there were a dozen new dancers there again on Monday night for squares. Yay!

Off to shower and then work!

* Oh, and if S-O-C-K-S is said quickly, it means "That's the way it is" in Spanish.

Had to immediately spend time solving the DRUM crisis, but a check is in process of being cut, so we're now having to eat another nearly $10,000 in costs to get this show to perform. The gall!

Then had a mad rush copying the financials for the golf course meeting, but that's done and out of the way.

Since Linda is incapacitated, I did payroll for her, so that's done, too.

Now to tackle the cost estimates for next year's shows that Tom wants to have prepped by 5pm today. Just before a holiday weekend! UNM is closed Monday.

But, I'm SO happy. Having a small space heater at my feet in this office is just HEAVEN!
