Some of the unusual irises I picked up somewhere...

The elusive Clematis...I planted it two years agoto mix with the honeysuckle I put across this new fence . I think it's the only one of four I planted to survive.

Today was a bizarrish day...

When I woke this morning at 7, Danny was gone...my mind assumed he had gone to work. But of course, it's Friday, and he's off. I finally realized he had gotten up VERY early, which is unusual for a Friday. Turns out that the wailing of cats in heat woke him at 4 this morning and he got up at 5...yikes!

Work was supposed to be quiet, with minor projects, but I ended up doing a lot of settlement prep for a rental at the theatre tonight. Very odd, in that it's not our show at all. I was a bit paranoid about things going right for the settlement, only because I had a calling gig tonight.

So off I trotted to the square dance center to sub for another caller that was on vacation. Duke City Singles is the first straight square dance club I ever danced with in 1984...and of course, over the years, all the members have gone on to their heavenly rewards. But I taught Lite Plus for 90 minutes, and called for 2 hours, and enjoyed it the whole time.

After the dance ended at 10, I hustled back to work to check on the concert at the theatre. It's a bank called "Wilco" that I've never heard of, but it attracted nearly a full house. All was well...I crunched some numbers for the promoter and headed back home at 11pm.

I'm so glad I have NO pressing projects for the entire weekend! Maybe Danny and I can take a nice day trip somewhere...
