On a weekend when we really would like to use the pool, it's overcast, blowy, with a distinct cooling trend. I did paddle around a bit last night (after buying 4 more pool noodles at $1 a piece at the Dollar Store). It was a delightfully calm night with not even a breeze. Right now it's looking like rain is coming in the very near future.
Today, we were consumers again. We brought a lovely sturdy aluminum patio table from Lowes (since the old plastic one was damaged during last week's windstorms), a couple a bench pads that are too short for the glider (which we'll have to take back), some sheer curtains for the south side of the upstairs deck for a bit of privacy (which didn't get scanned by accident, and aren't panels anyway, but a swag), a new pool filter (just the media). We didn't find more of the matching plastic chair seat pads. I had only bought 2 of them a couple weeks ago, and now the two stores that carried them are out.
The patio table was a deal at $68, but you have to supply your own tiles for the top. That's not a problem, because we had plenty leftover from our hall tiling project last year!

For the second day in a row, I woke up at 5am wide awake. I went downstairs and watch some DIY on the TV, faded, and went back to bed about 7am. Next thing I knew it was 9:15am. When I get up that late, it feels like the day is half over.
