Someone's looking over me

Not 50 feet from our house, I was nearly in a serious car crash on the way to work.

A woman sped through the stop sign at the intersection by our house. I was going slowly anyway, but good thing for effective brakes! I stopped not 2 inches from her as she blasted through.

Oh, the problem with that? Her windows were nearly completely frosted over except for a small circle in front of her nose. She never saw the stop sign and she never saw me. Just kept on truckin.

I hope she didn't kill someone further on down the street.

After I got my breath back, I thought about going after her, but then figured she probably had a gun in the car.

My daughter reported that a friend drove over a stop sign that she couldn't see because snow was falling so thickly that the windshield wipers couldn't keep up with it.

People do remarkably stupid things in messy weather, and driving without being able to see seems to be one of them.

I definitely understand that. Unfortunately or fortunately, the roads are snow free and it's a crystal clear day. It was just one of those thick frosts at night you get when it's humid and 26 degrees.
