Maybe it's just my cynical side but when I learned of Ledger's passing my first thought was "Now how is the religious right going to use this?". I can only hope that his skill as an actor will outlast such commentary.
This is very sad. And how ironic that life usually gets better as one gets older (mostly because happiness is a learned skill.) I wish someone had told me that when I was in my 20s. Perhaps if someone had said that to Mr. Ledger...
