More "Down Memory Lane"

billeylerA shy child of not-quite-six, gazing out a window in an old German hotel converted to US military apartments. Early in 1960, probably in the late winter or early spring.
Everything was alien to me, especially this car tooling around the crescent roads outside the window. Danny calls them "Bubble Cars"...I had no idea what make they were, or what they were called. I was just impressed that the door was the front of the car!
Funny the memories that come around. So many are all hot for the French SmartCar now...some permutations of them have been around for decades.
