billeylerThis morning I made the 7am trek to Tricore Reference Labs at Pres Hospital for the two bits of bloodwork my doctor(s)want.
As I walked in the door, somewhat groggily, a young woman came up to me and asked if I'd be interested in being a research participant for a trial type 2 diabetes study. All I'd have to do is have some extra blood taken, answer a family health questionnaire, and sit at a flourescent type machine that somehow measures glucose levels with light.
Done. And $15 wealthier.
Now I hope I don't get a positive result! My father's mother had type 2 diabetes developed in her 50s.
