It's happened

Since no one had stepped up to the plate yet, a conspiracy to nudge the Wilde Bunch into hosting the 2009 GAY&C dance weekend started with a couple of dancers riding roller coasters at Cedar Point this past week.  The prodding was started by some Seattle dancers, although we had been considering it vaguely for years.

Word spread through the convention that this is a good possibility.  Rumors swelled.  Queries abounded.

So now it looks like we'll be hosting the gay A&C weekend the third weekend in October next year, callers and host hotel pending. 

Probable name:  Change Lanes to Route 66.  (lots of names were bandied about last night at the C2 session...this one never came up.  Per Danny, a domain name has already been purchased for CLR66!)

Side note:  This has the appearance to me of being Phoenix's A&C weekend, just set in ABQ.  Seems to be mostly Phoenix people working on it as far as I can tell.   I'll try to get my head around this.

It's supposed to get up to 76F today!

But yes, ABQ would seem hot to BC-boiz between May and October, since it's between 80F and 95F generally!

We're more likely to get sleet or rain in October, so you'd feel right at home!

I'm sure Kris will get the non-gay A&C dancers coming to this, too. Kris and I are the only ones calling A&C in ABQ right now (with the exception of Richard Lane, who is trying to wedge into it again)
