billeyler: (Albuquerque at dusk)

I saw it was going to storm a bit when I left work at 4:30. A few sprinkles greeted me as I walked across Central to my car.

By the time I got home, the sprinkle had turned into a gully-washing torrent. Even with the umbrella, I got soaked running from the garage to the deck.

And the thunder? And lightning? Oh, my!

Officially at the house, we had 1.08" in about 45 minutes before it tapered off. We're now above normal for the year. Finally. And maybe some more coming tonight!

I shut down all the drip system; won't need that for a few days. One casualty of the deluge. The pool filter bit the dust.

Now Alan K is over here visiting with Danny about using the IAGSDC registration templates on the website for the '09 A&C weekend.

We've been having thunderstorms roll through all afternoon. So far we've picked up an estimated 0.000000001" of rain. Sigh. I hope this doesn't mean more forest fires from all the lightening. I'm glad you guys are at least getting some rain!

Over an inch in 45 minutes? Wow! Over an inch in New Mexico? Wow! Quite the storm.
