Sarah and Linda left this morning to head back to Jolly Old. Was nice having them here, but from what Danny told me this is just a two-week respite away from their troubles in England with an ex-husband. Hope it works out for them.

Worked a couple of hours this morning, then headed home to see the girls off. Danny took off a bit later for his massage. When he got back, we high-tailed it over to the near North Valley to Marc's biz to buy the cabinets.

Feeling relaxed, we started to catch up on Sordid Lives. It's very like the movie so far, and it's actually starting to look like they've just serialized the movie. Same characters for the most part. We'll watch the most current in a bit.

A new Mongolian BBQ opened up here a week or so ago: Genghis Grill. Obviously a chain. We headed over about 6:15, noticing that there were rainstorms both over the mountains and over Rio Rancho. By the time we got to the restaurant (very crowded parking lot in a sea of other restaurants), large splots of rain started coming down. By the time we got through the door, the heavens opened. First we saw some of the staff running around trying to stem one leak in the roof, then we noticed it started pouring down right over the grill!

In spite of that and the busyness of the place, the food was quite good if a bit on the pricey side. There must have been 30 servers running around and 10 cooks at the grill. I guess you don't really have to know how to cook food, just grill it and keep it from burning.

In spite of the leaking roof (it's a recently remodeled restaurant), I'd give it 3 stars for a good meal.

Apparently the bulk of the storm was right over where we were. I'm sure they must have gotten nearly 2 inches of rain in an hour. There were a lot of soaked customers wandering in!

We got home to a mere sprinkle left in the storm, but the gauge did measure .18 inches and the outdoor temp had dropped from 87 to 62. Yay!

Now for a relaxing, quiet, guest-free evening with Danny!
