It's 9:45pm on Sunday night and I think we got about 95% of the demo done that needed to be done, making the contractor's life a bit easier. No broken bones for either of us. About 8:45, I nearly completed knocking out all the tile from our master bath shower area. That bath is now 95% gutted, except for the toilet and the shower stall flooring and one small wall. The 20 cubic yard dumpster is 80% full of debris.

The weather was spectacular this weekend both days, but we didn't really get out much to enjoy it, especially Danny. Yesterday from 4 to 6, I went over to Kris's for a C2 review for two of our dancers that are heading to a Dave Wilson weekend in WV. Danny had a training session (including a swearing in) as precinct judge for the actual day-of elections next month. He came back from that a bit after 9, stressed by the amount of actual work that needs to be done, as well as all the information he has to assimilate before then.

So here's our kitchen right now (with the exception of the crossways studs that held the useless pocket door into the kitchen)

A very tired Danny standing in our new kitchen entrance, formerly a 30 inch doorway, soon to be 64 inches.

After dinner, Danny put together the electrical diagrams for the contractors, so there will be no confusion. LOTS of new lighting options!

We still have a lot of things to shop for, so we'll be spending some time this week nailing down other large ticket items like the over the stove microwave, the vanities for the two bathrooms (selected: KraftMade Cottage Maple), miscellaneous bath fixtures, and probably some things we haven't thought of yet.
