Monday

The guys started yesterday on the oak floors; I'd say they are about 25% done with laying it. Then comes the sanding and the finishing.

The upper (and shorter) stairwell prepped and awaiting the oak treatment from the boys.

They did a remarkable job profiling the wood around the uneven brick of the fireplace.

Danny is severely stressed about this part of the project, since it encompasses both Thanksgiving and us being out of town through Tuesday, but with the flooring project needing to continue full tilt. It's all centered around the logistics of alarming of the house. After all, we were broken into a few months ago, but the alarm scared the burglars off before anything was taken. Me, I'll just be glad to get away from this for a few days.

It's looking good. And you'll come home to something spectacular!

Too bad one of the floor installers won't be there. He's a hottie! Maybe I can snap a shot tomorrow morning! ;-)

I was going to ask where the photos of the hot workers are. :-) Glad the work is proceeding at such a brisk pace. We're still in the interior framing stage.

Have fun in Vancouver! They put on a fantastic fly-in.

Thanks! I have called two of their November flyins, but it's been many years. I think the last time was when the ex-from-bipolar-Hell went with me in 1996.

We're only dealing with about 1100 square foot of space that we had gutted and started over. I think you're dealing with a few more square feet than that PLUS a roof! ;-)
