I've started scanning some of my old photos. Until just now, these had been in a frame, mostly ignored.

The night my mother and father met in August 1952.

Me, January 1955 (6 1/2 months). I still suffer from this activity today, metaphorically.

Me at 4 1/2. Apparently I could read, or maybe I just liked the colors of the comic books.

Me with Mom, same time period, just before Christmas 1958. Brother Steve in foreground at 2 1/2. Everyone smoked back then...she gave it up in 1977.

Me, Dad and Steve, same day. A tranquil moment. Dad died at 59 in 1987; he was 30 in this pic. Somewhere, there's a pic of about the same time with me Steve and Santa Claus. Need to find that one!

I think of her more as looking like that picture than I do of her at 87.

I'm going to second that. What a stroke of luck that such an important event was immortalized, when you have no clue at the time that it would be so life-changing.

Nice to see these photos, such an important part of your family history. Notice, I refrained from using the term "vintage" to describe them:) Just goes to show .. Handsome little boys grow up to be handsome men!

HUGS!
