The past two mornings, I've awakened at 3:45am and gone to the guest room so as not to disturb [livejournal.com profile] abqdan. Sleep wasn't in the cards. This crud hasn't turned into the flu. Yet. But it is a bother. Danny's having his own issues with his recurring headaches and last night, the throat-tickle I had on Monday.

I did go to work yesterday, and didn't feel particularly bad. Might have been the high from the Day-Quil. I did enjoy watching the thick, heavy snowflakes fall for all 10 minutes of our 'storm'. The weather as usual played with ABQ and skirted most of the city. I think we got an official .06 inches of precip from the rain/snow event.

Last night I went to chorus rehearsal to work through our six songs for the Santa Fe Academy diversity day Friday morning. I didn't sound like ME attempting to sing at all. I had a soft, thickish sound, and my voice wandered around the F and G above middle C without actually hitting it, mostly with a crack. Not good, but I'm much more confident in the pieces. I had prewarned Paul that I might have to ditch it, which is also a bother since I'm the one regular bass and Paul is filling in as the second for this small group. I may have to ditch yet if the icks don't start clearing up. Damn shame, since this is my last event with the chorus until the Fall.

The good news is I haven't had an a-fib event in over 3 weeks.

Tonight will be the test with the C/W lessons at the somewhat smoky Ranch...at least that's verbal instructions with my Madonna-mic and NOT singing.

Debating on going to bed again. It's 7:24am and I'm supposed to be at work at 8.

Yay on the lack of an a-fib, awwww about the blahs. I'm sure you've already considered it but perhaps a sick day to simply rest would help?
