Starving children in Africa

So here we've paid out the big bucks for this ultra-decadent RSVP cruise starting 9/3, and finally get our travel packets last week.

Tuesday night we sit down and spend an hour or so looking over the available side trips you can make, all at significant cost of course. We agree on the shore excursions we like, and head off to the computer to book 'em, Danno.

Lo and behold, they are all mostly all sold out and wait-listed! Turns out that the tours had been available for two months online already, but the travel agent had the wrong email address and we never got any updates at all. Grrrr... That also explained why we hadn't got information on actually where to GO in Seattle to get the ship...it was on email!

Except for the hotel (or hosted hosted housing from any kind soul), we're pretty much set to go. It doesn't matter to me that much if we don't have anything arranged for shore excursions. I suspect SOMETHING will come around to fill our hours on land.

Maybe next year, I'll just give $2,000 to a charity that feeds children.
