Settling into a rhythm

The country-western lessons have settled into almost a club-like scenario, which I didn't expect. No one new really wandering in. The transition over to Thursday was fairly painless, and the dancers that are there (16-18 dancers) have settled into their own learning patterns.
So tonight over dinner, Danny and I talked about it and decided we'd just move our flight to Seattle to the day of sailing, and now that's a done deed. We'll get in hours and hours before the ship sails anyway, since it's a direct flight. We'll just hightail it from the airport to Pier 30 where Holland America will be just starting to board the ms Oosterdam. Danny says the airport transfer is included, so that's a relief. Sadly, we'll miss the titillating tones of
rletgers crooning to new soon-to-be-smitten dancers, but ah well. It was getting too complex to figure out travel logistics and housing for the one night. I was starting to afear a scenario like my June '01 Seattle trip.
Tomorrow, there's a "going away party" after work that Linda organized for the six or seven people that have left or been laid off this past year without any fanfare. It was getting pretty weird, people just going and no one even saying goodbye! Most of the folks that left or are leaving, Ashley, Sophie, Christy, Chad among them, I really enjoyed working with. Paul is such a 'one-off' as
abqdan says that we're SUPREMELY glad he's going. What a mess that man is.
Looking forward to our last weekend before the trip...hope to get very productive and maybe I'll even finish painting the under-deck area!
