City Counsellor Runoff

billeylerNot to be outdone by the state treasurer quitting because of kickback charges and the state treasurer before him being sentenced to 8 years in jail yesterday for the very same thing...
Last month, there was a very quiet minor city election, for city counsellors and the like. Only in one district was there a run-off election required, which is coming up (or maybe it was yesterday).
These two very minor potential candidates have been battering each other publicly and loudly about their DRIVING records. Their names escape me, but the woman has been loud about her opponent having 21 unpaid traffic violations, and what kind of a man could he possibly be for having this on his record. But of course he counters by dragging up her 1990 DWI charge that was eventually dismissed. She just sputtered on about that last night...
And so it goes in Albuquerque.
