What day is today?
Dec. 28th, 2005 05:54 pmI'm starting to lose track of time having this long winter break holiday from work. Where was it I worked again?
Since the doc wanted me to do a daily regimen of cardizem and aspirin, I took that last night about 5:30 and felt a bit off for the rest of the evening, but no a-fib. Slept soundly until 3:30 (@(*$(*&), then watched PBS for a couple of hours and crawled back in with Dannyboy...sleeping until 8:30. This is so weird.
Another day of accomplishment. I drilled and chisled out the cement brick that Danny had run romex out through to the front of the house. Actually inserting the outlet box was the hardest part, since I misaligned the anchor screws, and of course the box was all wobbly until I could get it aligned right. Reinserting scraps of concrete and a load of caulk helped stablize it, along with the long, hard screw. Danny finished up that bit, so we finally have an electrical outlet in front of the house, which I've needed dozens of times.
Danny had finished the small bits of furring left when I was asleep, so after various noodling around bits, we spent the afternoon finishing putting up the rest of the drywall, and finished that about 5:15. It really feels like we've done something.
Tonight was the chorus holiday party out in the North Valley, but I'm just going to shower and rest up for my trip to the Pres Hospital Sleep Center at 8. The instructions were 'to bring my pjs and come sleepy,' but EIGHT O'CLOCK? There must be more to it than that....
Don't know what time I'll be home in the morning from my overnighter, but sadly there will be no Danny to cuddle with tonight. :(
